If a plant looks unwell although it was properly planted and watered, a nutrient deficiency might be the cause. Vegetables, fruits, container-grown plants and those grown in high/low pH soils are most susceptible to nutrient deficiencies. Signs of a nutrient deficiency may include stunted growth, poor flowering, and distorted/discolored leaves.
