Tomatoes are a summer favourite. They enjoy moderately warm summers and lots of fertilizer.
A few varieties of note:
Beefsteak: (Beefsteak, Bush Beefsteak and Better Boy) are huge tomatoes and favourites for sandwiches and burgers. Bush Beef tomato is a shorter plant or "determinate" tomato.
Early Girl and Manitoba: early season, medium sized tomatoes.
Roma - a good paste tomato
